Woah, I didn’t realize it had been this long since I updated my website. Sorry, I suck. But straight to the point, I’m about half way through my final read of the master draft and its taking longer than I expected to get through. Beta readers have already had the chance to sink their teeth in and I’m happy to report that everyone was satisfied. I had 7 betas, 2 Team Jaden, 3 Team Darren, and 3 neutrals to make sure I got the opinions of all sides of the table and yeah, everyone loved it, so that was a huge relief for me, especially concerning the ending. Everyone found the ending to be fitting, fair, and bitter sweet, so hopefully it resonates well with everyone else when it’s finally your turn to chomp into it.
For a little context, there’s about 70 chapters and each chapter is around 10 pages each and I’m reading everything from a perfectionist’s perspective, so its taking forever. Plus finding the time with a full time job and a toddler is super competitive, but ya’ll already know that. I try to get through at least one chapter a day while also deciding to write an additional chapter closer to the end that I think just brings a little more closure for everyone. And then once that’s all finally done, its off to the formatting shop for the final touches. I have to be careful not to add too many more pages since I’m getting really close to Amazon’s page limit for paperbacks. Honestly, my goal is to have this beast out before the end of the year, so here’s to hoping I can make it happen. That’s the closest thing you’re going to get to a release date right now until I’m further along, but still, I appreciate your patience.
I also wanted to tell you guys that I do love hearing from you even if I don’t respond right away. Your messages can be very touching and I really appreciate that. But please don’t ask me for a release date because I have no idea lol. This is all I can really tell you right now. I’ll try to update my site more often, if I can actually remember to do it. But if you want the most recent updates, my Facebook Group is where it’s at. Some people have been having a lot of fun with AI images from the book on there lol.
